Hi TR. Thanks for writing this. I got to a similar place with my writing about six years ago - both trad and then indie. I was working on a six-part 90k per book series and averaging 2.5-8k words per day. Unfortunately we then had a series of illnesses in my family that stopped me writing books for six years! I'm just looking at things now that everyone is well again. Nice to read about what could have been if I'd kept going.

Also very interesting to read about your plotting and editing style. It's kind of the halfway point between full plot and outline and out-of-the-mist writing.

Sounds like fun!

And I know what you mean about deadlines. I also have to say that when I was doing 8k+ it was a bit of a drain. 2-5k when it flows with plenty of time for thinking it through was way more fun. And you could see it on the page.

I've taken some inspiration from this and I'm now thinking about how I write book series for my nine year old Dylan and my seven year old Eva.

Cheers, F
