Last month I earned $1 from four 500 word articles which works out at roughly $0.0005 per word. So, because I’m god’s gift to entrepreneurship and my middle name is amazeballs (no joke), I can quickly calculate that that is 2 billion words required to hit the magic million.
10k A Day
Divided by my max 10,000 words a day writing rate then that means, if I don’t take a day off, never eat, drink, go to the toilet and write 24 hours a day it will be approximately 547 years, let’s call it 548 years (I can’t forget Mother’s Day), before I’m finished.
That sounds totally doable. Right? Especially if I write in the three top niches of tech, sex and writing-about-writing-on-medium. All I have to do is take three articles ideas, let’s say:
1. How I Write 10,000 Words a Day
2. How I Don’t Need To Get My Articles Curated, Attract Followers, Or Worry About SEO (whatever that is)
3. How I Gave Up My Day Job And Earn INSANE Money As A Writer
And just keep rewriting them for different audiences. Sure, I’ll get some churn on the old followers list but you know that old saying about wheat and shovel . . . or is it shit and chaff? I forget now.
